FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURE ON BELT DRIVE FUEL PUMPS

1. With vacuum hose removed, bring engine RPM to 4500.

2. Loosen 5/8” locknut and adjust fuel pressure with 7/32” allen wrench as follows… (ALCOHOL 10 PSI) (GAS 8 PSI).

3. Tighten 5/8” locknut while holding 7/32” allen screw in position.

4. Replace vacuum hose.

5. Return engine to idle.

6. Fuel pressure should drop to between 2-5 PSI.

7. If idle pressure is too low, install smaller bypass jet in regulator. If idle pressure is too high, install larger bypass jet in regulator.

KSE INSTALLATION ONLY ! (WHEN INSTALLING ON BY-PASS SIDE OF KSE PUMP)

1. Remove by-pass pill assembly from KSE pump.

2. Drill KSE by-pass pill to .250 (1/4 inch) and reinstall by-pass assembly in pump.

3. Install regulator on KSE by-pass fitting.

4. Proceed to steps 1-7 of regulator adjustment.

FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURE ON MECHANICAL  FUEL PUMPS

1.     With vacuum hose removed, bring engine RPM to 2500.

2.     Loosen 5/8” locknut and adjust fuel pressure with 7/32” allen wrench as follows… (ALCOHOL 10 PSI)  (GAS 7 PSI).

3.     Tighten 5/8” locknut while holding 7/32” allen screw in position.

4.     Replace vacuum hose. Fuel pressure should drop to between 3-6 PSI.

5.   Return engine to idle.
