Willy’s Carburetor and Dyno Shop, owned by Willy Krup, 1000 Market Street, Mount Carmel, Illinois, manufactures high performance carburetors for racing engines. Established in 1985, Willy builds carburetors for asphalt and dirt circle track, drag racing, marine, truck pulling, and pro street applications. He builds for both gasoline and alcohol burning engines. Willys’ team of skilled technicians work to build the best possible carburetors for the customers’ specific requirements. When completed, the carburetors are tuned and tested on an in-house engine attached to a Superflow SF-902 x-dyno featuring the latest version of WinDyn software. This monitors the various aspects of an engine’s operation, such as horsepower, torque, and O2 sensors for real-time air-fuel ratio. The customers may also bring in their own engine for dyno tuning service. In addition, Willy's utilizes a DYNOJET chassis for those who want to tune the racecar exactly as it would come off the racetrack. r DYNOJET features the latest version of WinPep software with O2 sensor technology. This is vital in detecting fuel and ignition problems as well as drivability issues. Equipped with a unique starting system, our DYNOJET will spin the rollers 18 MPH, which will start World of Outlaw sprint cars.
